About Åžebnem
Åžebnem is a ceramic artist and internationally recognized mining engineer. Born in Turkey and based in Colorado, her sculptures draw from her expertise in geological formations, exploring how natural forces reflect human and ecological relationships.

Self-taught and trained by international ceramicists, she creates hand-built works featuring complex textures, biomorphic shapes, and architectural details conveying movement and renewal.
​
Her work has been exhibited in the U.S., Germany, and Turkey, earning numerous awards. She is a studio artist at Foothills Art Center in Golden, CO, and the Fred Banfield Distinguished Chair in Mining Engineering at Colorado School of Mines.
